Through the Enhanced Maritime Situational Awareness initiative, Transport Canada is partnering with Indigenous communities across Canada’s coasts for a pilot project to test a web-based and user-friendly system that will enhance the availability of information and data on maritime activity, including vessel traffic, and support local decision-making related to marine safety and environmental protection.
