Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated and the Canadian Coast Guard are co-hosting a four-day Nunavut Shipping Symposium (January 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2026) at Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Centre in Iqaluit.
The symposium is an opportunity to share concerns, priorities and resources related to shipping activities, co-governance, legislation, policy and research. We are bringing together Inuit rights-holders, government partners and stakeholders in a single forum to discuss collaborative, rights-based approaches to address increasing maritime traffic, impacts, risks and opportunities.
